A busy freelance writer and frequent contributor to PEOPLE Magazine, Kathy has worked as a full-time journalist since graduating Boston University's College of Communication a decade ago.

She has contributed key reporting to a number of high-profile PEOPLE stories, including the Tiger Woods scandal, the Yale University lab murder, the Amish school shooting and Heath Ledger's death. She regularly obtains exclusive information that helps readers learn more about the people splashed across the headlines.

In addition to PEOPLE, her work has appeared in publications including USA Today, TV Guide, Woman's World, Brides.com, the New York Daily News, The Boston Herald, Family Circle and The UK's Sunday Times Magazine.

She began her career as an editorial assistant in Boston Herald's Lifestyle department, then as a news reporter for The Daily Item of Lynn and The Patriot Ledger. She also served as the founding  entertainment editor for Life & Style Weekly, where she wrangled celebrities for photo shoots and managed all red carpet reporting.

When she's not sniffing out a story Kathy relishes spending time with her family, including her husband Mark, a marketing/communications manager for a brokerage firm, son Jack and two dogs, Zeke and Grace.
